"I sense there's something in the wind
That feels like tragedy's at hand
And though I'd like to stand by him
Can't shake this feeling that I have
The worst is just around the bend
And does he notice my feelings for him?
And will he see how much he means to me?
I think it's not to be What will become of my dear friend?
Where will his actions lead us then?
Although I'd like to join the crowd
In their enthusiastic cloud
Try as I may, it doesn't last
And will we ever end up together?
No, I think not, it's never to become
For I am not the one"
Inspiration: Tim Burton's A nightmare Before Christmas
I've always wanted to work in a piece inspired by one of Tim Burton's movies, one of my favourite directors of all time. But I still wanted it too look mine, and not just a idea stolen from one of his works. I used this scene [link]
from "A nightmare before Christmas" as inspiration, so as the Halloween Town's details [link]
, that's were the swirly things come from.
The title also comes from one of the movie's songs; the theme song of Sally, the most important female character portrayed on the film. Her constant feeling of loneliness also inspired my work on this piece.
The spiral part was drawn and cutted from a mountain texture found at sxc.hu. The cat comes from morguefile, the girl is
, the other texture from
, brushes from
and the thorn ones are mine.
